BAG-INTEL project partner, Spanish Civil Guard (GUCI), attended SICUR 2024, that took place in Madrid from February 27 to March 1, 2024.
GUCI participated with a stand displaying the most cutting-edge resources they use in their daily work at the service of Spanish citizens. Practitioners from the 5 main areas of security (security, cybersecurity, fire, emergency and occupational safety) were present to share their expertise and establish networks with other professionals. BAG-INTEL and other EU-funded projects in which UCI is involved were disseminated to the SICUR attendees. GUCI also attended the Horizon Europe Cluster 3 Flash Information Day organized by CDTI (Center for the Development of the Industrial Technology of Spain) as part of the event. During the Info Day, diverse aspects of the call were discussed, including recommendations for the participation, proposal preparation, the CERIS network and the future of the program.

SICUR is Spain’s leading international security event. Every two years, SICUR brings together public and private security companies and associations as well as law enforcement agencies and emergency responders. Innovation and technological development are the main focus of this professional meeting that addresses security in five major areas: security (electronic security, physical security and security services), cybersecurity (solutions and tools to protect corporate information, systems and data), fire prevention and emergencies (passive and active protection against fire), and safety and health in workspaces (personal protection equipment), with the aim of improving wellbeing and social development. In 2024, the event brought together over 4600 security professionals from 80 countries and more than 650 exhibitors who displayed their latest innovations and technological developments in the field of security.
