On September 7-15, 2024, BAG-INTEL project partner Fraport Greece attended and exhibited at the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), which attracted over 221,000 visitors. As part of the event-wide ‘ZERO WASTE’ action, Fraport Greece refrained from handing out printed promotional materials. Instead, its booth included the “Smart Airport Operations” podium, which featured QR codes, which redirected the visitors to relevant web pages of BAG-INTEL and other projects Fraport Greece represented at the event.
With over 1,300 exhibitors and 32,000 square meters of exhibition space, the 88th TIF sent a powerful message of development and international collaboration. In addition to its strong focus on tech solutions, such as cybersecurity, circular economy, and renewable energy sources, among others, TIF provided a rich recreational program for visitors, with dozens of events, such as CERN’s 70th birthday, which gave visitors an opportunity to participate in thrilling informative group tours to discover how CERN impacts our daily lives and helps uncover the mysteries of the universe.
