On December 11, 2024, the BAG-INTEL Project Coordinator presented the project work at the webinar on New Solutions in Border Management, which brought together project experts working on cutting-edge technologies designed to enhance border management processes. Coordinated by SIMAVI, the webinar highlighted significant advancements achieved by  ODYSSEUS, and its sister projects, including BAG-INTEL, I-SEAMORE, and FLEXI-Cross.

The event offered participants a deep dive into the latest innovations revolutionizing border security and customs operations. Experts presented groundbreaking tools and methodologies, showcasing how these advancements address critical challenges in border management.

BAG-INTEL Showcased at ODYSSEUS Technical Webinar on Border Management Technologies

During the session dedicated to BAG-INTEL, the BAG-INTEL Project Coordinator, Henrik Legind Larsen (Legind Technologies A/S), talked about the project’s potential to transform customs operations, explaining how the BAG-INTEL solution is set to optimize the customs control of incoming passenger baggage, improving efficiency and addressing technical challenges in the process. The audience actively engaged in the post-presentation discussion, asking several questions to learn more about the technical details and practical applications of the BAG-INTEL solution.

  • FLEXICROSS: Biometrics on the move, a toolkit to enhance Border Authorities’ interoperability, presented by Giuseppe Vella (Engineering Informatica S.P.A).
  • I-SEAMORE: New technologies in maritime surveillance, presented by Ricard Munne Caldes (EVIDEN).
