BAG-INTEL Empowers Stakeholders Through Targeted Online Training Workshops

We are happy to announce the successful progression of our capacity-building program, marked by the completion of two pivotal Online Training Workshops, which served as the essential bridge between technical development and real-world application, ensuring our partners are fully equipped for the project’s field deployments.

From Billund to Thessaloniki: A Strategic Roadmap

To ensure the seamless integration of our innovative luggage screening and intelligence technologies, each workshop is strategically timed to precede a major USE-CASE deployment.

  • January 21, 2026: The inaugural workshop focused on preparing teams for the first deployment at Billund Airport (BLL).
  • March 4, 2026: The second workshop served as the critical “prelude” to our upcoming mid-March deployment at Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia” (SKG).

Deep Dive: The 2nd Online Training Workshop

Hosted under the aegis of the Thessaloniki USE-CASE, the second half-day workshop brought together Technical Partners and End-users—including Customs, Police, and Border Guard authorities. The session focused on turning complex technical specifications into actionable operational knowledge.

Key highlights of the training included:

  • Training Methodology: An introduction to the framework underpinning both our virtual and on-site instructional activities.
  • Scenario Analysis: A conceptual deep dive into the specific “Low-Risk” and “High-Risk non-SCHENGEN” synthetic flight scenarios scheduled for reenactment in Thessaloniki.
  • Subsystem Familiarization: Detailed walkthroughs of the Phase-paired (A-F) functionalities, explaining how inputs and outputs flow through the BAG-INTEL Integrated Platform’s end-to-end pipeline.
  • Interactive Evaluation: A dedicated Q&A session allowed for a fruitful exchange of ideas, followed by formal feedback collected via questionnaire forms to refine future project phases.

These workshops are more than just technical briefings; they are a collaborative space where developers and frontline officers align their expectations to enhance European border security.”

Looking Ahead

BAG-INTEL Empowers Stakeholders Through Targeted Online Training Workshops

The insights gathered during these online sessions will now be put into practice on the ground. The feedback provided by our participants remains invaluable as we move into the deployment phase at Thessaloniki Airport.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all participants for their active engagement and for helping us refine the future of automated baggage intelligence.
